Kim Janzen, Associate Director of Outreach Ministries

Wes and Kim Janzen have been involved as volunteers with Music Mission Kiev since 2006 when Wes began coming to Kiev several times annually as Principal Guest Conductor of the KSOC. The entire family have served MMK through multiple visits to Kiev, some extended. In Canada, Wes and Kim teach at Trinity Western University, Canada's largest Christian liberal arts university. Kimberley frequently serves as guest speaker and soloist to various organizations including three appearances as soloist with Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. Wes and Kim have served as music coordinator and worship leader for Missions Fest Vancouver (the largest annual church sponsored missions conference in the world) for many years. Dr. Wes Janzen frequently partners with some of Canada's top professional arts organizations, including Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Vancouver Chamber Choir and CBC National Radio. In Europe, he guest conducted the first performances of Handel's Messiah in former East Germany, in 1991, shortly after the Berlin Wall came down. In Europe he has served on the jury for many top international choral competitions and is listed in Germany's "Who's Who of Choral Music."

Personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the value that Kimberley and Wes Janzen most cherish. All four of Wes's grandparents came from southern Ukraine. In Canada, the Janzen's have deep connections with many who immigrated from Ukraine. They are grateful for a year and a half leave of absence that Trinity Western University has granted Wes, beginning January 2012, so that they might serve MMK for a more extended period of time, Wes as Interim President and Kim as Associate Director of Outreach Ministries.
