A Little Story About Two Women

Galina lived in Druzhkovka and first started attending our lessons after she was invited from Light of the Gospel Church. When the You Are Not Alone group was organized, she began to attend that as well. In that group was where she repented and was baptized. Over time, her health deteriorated sharply and it became extremely difficult for her to get there. She asked her daughter, Tatyana, to accompany her, and she began to join us for our lessons and the group. 

Galina eventually got baptized and then passed away on May 5, 2021. Katerina B., the leader of the You Are Not Alone Group, said that Galina felt that she was completing her life path, so she was in a hurry to enter into a covenant with the Lord!

Her daughter, Tatyana, took her mother’s death hard. Tatyana began to have severe pains in her kidneys and heart after her mother’s death. After a visit to the doctor, she was diagnosed with a few different cancers. They prescribed her medication, but Tatyana’s heart hardened and she did not want to see anyone. 

Thankfully, our last trip gave us the opportunity to visit her at home. We had some great heart-to-heart conversations, prayers, and memories of her mother. All of this led to inviting Tanya to reconcile her heart with God. Tatyana knew she didn’t have much time left to live. When we asked her if she wanted to be in the place where her mother is or where her mother isn’t, all Tatyana could say was “mother!”

We prayed together and experienced God’s victory. We saw the light of God in that room and inside Tatyana. Tatyana passed into eternity to join her mother on June 29, 2021. Galina was 82 and Tanya was 63 years old! Together they are praising the Lord forever!
