Visit with Franya S.
Lena recently visited with Franya S., and she is not well.
Unfortunately, she is unable to leave the house now. She has a bad backache and chronic issues with her bladder. Since her friend and neighbor, Anna (a lady from our program), died about two months ago, Franya is also a little depressed.
However, a positive thing is that her nephew and his wife do grocery shopping for her and visit her at least twice a week.
As usual, we spent most of our time talking and catching up. Franya is very interested in St. Paul's Church and is very sad for not attending. She loves to pray when we visit with her. Franya has a very tender heart, and every time she hears about someone suffering she starts crying.
As usual, Lena brought Franya a supply of food vouchers. She was delighted to hear from Blake and Millie—she loved the card with yellow flowers they sent.
Lena also brought Franya a pair of warm winter socks (she had a similar pair that were worn out) and some handmade coasters.
Franya is very thankful and sends her greetings to everyone. Thank you to all of our widow sponsors—your support and encouragement mean the world to them.
