Presentation of the Hand-written Ukrainian Bible

On June 7 Serhiy attended the presentation of the hand-written Bible at St. Sophia Cathedral.

Serhiy was honored to attend this event and the venue was quite symbolic. A millennium ago, the so-called ''scriptorium'' was located there, the place where scriptures were stored and copied.

In the past, only a handful of educated monks were able to copy the Word of God, however, this hand-written Bible was created by almost 32,000 Ukrainians from different regions and all walks of life. We are so happy that members of Music Mission Kiev family (staff, widows, and IDPs from Crimea and Donbas) joined this army of present-day 'scribes.' American members of the MMK family—Lydia Cottrell, Mary Ripka, Greg Kannon, and Ronnie Santeusanio—lent a helping hand as well.

Big shout-out to the Ukrainian Bible Society (Українське Біблійне Товариство) for initiating and carrying out this monumental project. It has served to unify Ukrainian both geographically and spiritually.

We value our partnership with Українське Біблійне Товариство. May God continue to bless their great work in Ukraine!
