Visit with Lilia B.

Lilia B. received the remaining portion of the food vouchers from the lockdown period of 2020 as well as this month’s vouchers. She is very thankful for our care!

Lilia lives in a great deal of pain, and her legs are in terrible shape. The farthest she can travel is the nearest grocery store. The round trip takes her hours. Despite the terrible pain, Lilia is very strong spiritually. She is always interested in our church, so when Lena visits her, they have long conversations about spiritual topics. Lilia is a great encourager. She has been through severe pain, but Lilia can encourage others because of her close relationship with the Lord.

Lilia worries about Alyona, her 37-year-old granddaughter. Lilia has to provide for both of her kids and an older husband. Overall, Lena’s visits remind her of counseling sessions. First, Lena is the one who quietly listens, and then we take turns, and Lilia does counseling for Lena.

Thank you for providing widows like Lilia with the physical and spiritual care they need most.
