More Visits in Druzhkovka

Liuba, our partner in Druzhkovka, suggested visiting Svetlana because she is a lonely woman who shuts herself up in her house. She doesn't want to go out, and Irina thinks it’s because she has some kind of emotional trauma.

So, Irina and Sasha went to the hostel where she lived, but it turned out she wasn’t home. As they were about to leave, one of the neighbors invited them to visit an elderly couple living in the same hostel. Irina and Sasha understood that God was leading them!

When they knocked on the door, a woman opened it. As they came inside, the first thing they noticed was a terrible smell in the room. Viktor and Liudmila are 70 years old. They are both unwell and helpless, and their children live far away. Viktor has high blood pressure and an injured leg, so he stays in bed. Ludmila can barely move her legs. They are in dire need of medical care. All Irina and Sasha could offer was spiritual support which was just as important.

They introduced themselves and told them about our Mission and our work. They also said that God brought Irina and Sasha to their house to show them His Love and help them reconcile with Him! They gladly agreed to pray, and it seemed like they were looking forward to it. They prayed and thanked the Lord for His wonderful care!

Soon they had to leave without seeing Svetlana. However, God had His own way of doing things! Irina and Sasha left, but Liuba managed to get in touch with Svetlana. She invited her to church and offered our Mission’s food gift basket. Svetlana also agreed to come to the You Are Not Alone group meeting. Irina shared, “What a pleasure to see God’s miraculous ways! Glory be to God! I am looking forwards to meeting Svetlana at our Bible lesson next time we visit Druzhkovka!”
