Tamara Accepts Jesus

On Irina’s last visit to Light of the Gospel Church, she was talking to people when she saw Tamara and Valentina (goes by Valia) approaching her. The women regularly attend our lessons and are members of the You Are Not Alone group. Valia also cooks dinners for children in the welfare centre. 

Tamara (the one in the middle of the photo) wanted to tell Irina her life story. She was going through tough times and Tamara realized how desperately she needed Christ.

Irina thought Tamara was a believer because she joined the You Are Not Alone group on its first day and has been regularly attending our Bible lessons. But in that moment, Irina realized she was on her way to meet Jesus!

Having poured out her troubles, Tamara asked if they could pray together. Irina said, “Yes, for sure!” In her prayer, Tamara asked God for forgiveness, she invited Jesus into her life, and asked Him to be close and to be her friend! Irina and Tamara rejoiced together as she accepted Christ. She is 59 years old, but better late than never! Praise be to God for transforming Tamera’s life right before our eyes.
